There’s a new Filipino pop-up restaurant in DC! Balangay, opened last October by Chef Erin “Wing” Villarias, serves traditional Filipino cuisine alongside specialty cocktails in Bullfrog Bagels’ Atlas location. Balangay’s menu offers full-flavored dishes for all diets, including vegan and pescatarian. The restaurant’s a la carte menu is comprises artistic takes on classic Filipino bar bites, with lumpia, grilled eggplant, chicken adobo, burgers, and more, like the team famorite, ensaladang talong.  Craft beverages and unique cocktails, like one made with squid ink, fill the pop-up’s drink menu. Enjoy Balangay’s happy hour Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m. and all day Sunday.
