Don’t Miss Season’s Greenings: America’s Gardens at the US Botanic Garden
Traveling this holiday season? If you’re lucky, the farthest you’ll have to go is the US Botanic Garden for a one-of-a-kind tour of the US. This year’s holiday feature is Season’s Greenings: America’s Gardens, and features botanic gardens from across the country, from the lush, colorful gardens of Hawaii to Maine’s green and floral commons. Several iconic sites will be recreated in the train room, like Brooklyn’s Japanese torii gate and Franklin Park’s flamingo topiaries. And what would the holidays be without poinsettias? The exhibit will also include rare and heirloom varieties of the popular seasonal flower, along with thousands of other blooms to fill the Conservatory.
Admission to Season’s Greenings: America’s Gardens is free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. On select Tuesday and Thursday evenings, the grounds will stay open until 8 p.m. to feature live seasonal music. See the full concert schedule online, and be sure to note the Conservatory’s accessibility and photography policies.
