Run for a Good Cause During the 18th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger

Thanksgiving is a holiday dedicated to gratitude, reflection, and giving back, and the 18th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger on November 28 gives you an opportunity to start your holiday with 8,000 neighbors who are all dedicated to fighting poverty and homelessness in DC. The race starts and ends at Freedom Plaza, where you’ll also enjoy a race-day festival featuring live music, games, food, and drink. Not a runner? No problem. Walkers are welcome, too, and kids are invited to participate in a one-mile fun run.

Proceeds from the race benefit SOME (So Others Might Eat), a local non-profit that provides job training, affordable housing, counseling, food, clothing, addiction treatment, and more. Want to go the extra mile? Gather a group of friends, form a team, and begin raising money to donate along with your registration fee. See the website for registration forms, fundraising tips, and more.
