Bring a Thirst for Craft Beer to Snallygaster on Oct. 12

Who is ready for Snallygaster? It is Washington DC’s “beastliest beer festival,” and it takes place on Oct. 12 at Sixth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The eighth edition of this event is shaping up to be the biggest salute to craft beer yet.

This year’s event promises more than 400 beers, including some truly rare and limited-supply varieties. The list of brewers slated to attend is massive. Big domestic names like Troegs and Victory will be out in full force, as will smaller local teams like Atlas and 3 Stars. Belgium labels like Girardin and 3 Fonteinen will be there to lend some international flavor, along with representatives from Scotland, Germany, and Canada. This year, your ticket includes a commemorative glass and unlimited samples from all of these breweries, and more. Not into beer? Wine samples will be available on an unlimited basis, too. Food will be available for purchase.

The fun starts at 2 p.m., unless you get a VIP ticket. That grants you early admission at noon, and gives you full access to all samples, as well as a host of special amenities. General admission costs $50, while VIP costs $100.
