Sample Local Wines at District Winery
Situated in the heart of The Yards, District Winery is a boutique urban winery producing premium small batch wines. Take a tour of DC’s first and only operational commercial winery to learn more about urban winemaking – how they source the grapes to how they blend and bottle. The knowledgeable tour guides walk you through the entire process and offer a tasting of seven District Winery wines. Tours are scheduled Monday through Friday and are about $35 per person.
District Winery also has a seasonal American restaurant, Ana, where you can savor artisanal wines and indulge in global cuisine. The menu showcases fresh, seasonal ingredients and includes favorite dishes like Pacific Halibut and Cedar River Farms Beef. The interior mimics the look of a steam ship with brass lighting affixed to dark wood walls. Stand at the sound-facing side of the outdoor patio overlooking the Anacostia to see bobbing boats. Ana at District Winery serves brunch, lunch, dinner, and happy hour.
