Celebrate Diversity at the H Street Festival 2017 on September 16
Flamenco, Hawaiian, and African dance performances. Fashion shows displaying cutting-edge trends. Arts and crafts and a children’s author reading. These are just a few of the items on the itinerary at the H Street Festival 2017, which will take over 10 blocks of H Street on Saturday, September 16th.
From noon to 7 p.m., you can explore the colorful array of performances, food, and original artwork that H Street Festival showcases as it celebrates the diversity of the neighborhood. Head to the karaoke stage at 9th and H Streets to belt out a beloved ballad. Check out a tiny house courtesy of Getaway, a company that allows city dwellers to escape the hustle and bustle by renting similar tiny houses just beyond the fringes of DC. Take your youngsters to the Kids Zone, complete with face painting and kid-friendly activities, or watching the marching band parade that marches down H Street at 2 p.m. Also enjoy international food and drink provided by DC’s eateries and food trucks at H Street Festival 2017.
