Explore the Labyrinth of Pathways at Georgetown Waterfront Park

If you’re not familiar with Georgetown Waterfront Park, you might be a bit puzzled when you first arrive. That’s because you’ll see people of all ages wandering around in circles with their eyes cast down, seemingly oblivious to the picturesque view of the Key Bridge behind them. What you’ll quickly figure out, however, is that these folks are enjoying the park’s labyrinth, a carefully designed pathway maze meant to encourage mental focus and equanimity.

That’s just one of the unique attractions at this relatively new DC park. People also flock to the park for its running and bike paths, the fountain and river steps, and a network of nature trails and botanical gardens. Photographers also love the park for its views of the Potomac and its verdant flora and fauna, which make dramatic settings for portraits.
