Art lovers in DC know how special the National Gallery of Art is, so it’s been quite a disappointment that the museum’s East Building has been closed for renovations. Lucky for the city’s art enthusiasts, the National Gallery of Art East Building will reopen this weekend on September 30.
The East Building will be reopening just in time for the museum’s 75th anniversary, allowing you to visit the modern arts wing of the museum and check out its newly renovated galleries. There are also three exhibition debuts, including In the Tower: Barbara Kruger and a new rooftop sculpture garden. Stop by from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to see what’s new at the National Gallery of Art!
