Order the Dumplings at Mandu, a Popular Korean Diner Near 77 H

Over the past few years, diners in the Mt Vernon Triangle have come to appreciate the comfort food at Mandu, a family-owned Korean diner. From the outside, Mandu looks like a souped-up fast food joint, but the lines that form stretch out the door some nights should be a clue that there’s more to this place than meets the eye.

Inside, you’ll find two dining areas packed with patrons, cool decor, and a hip bar that serves up Korean soju, wine, and a rotating selection of craft beers. As for the food, you’ll find that many people order the restaurant’s namesake Mandu dumplings. You can get the dumplings stuffed with your choice of shrimp, beef and pork, or vegetables, or you can order a sampler platter with all three. Aside from that, bibimbap, bulgogi, and wings are all popular, so your best strategy may be to come with a group of friends from 77 H so that you can sample lots of dishes.
